Kabuki - The Art of Japanese Theatre
Box top design
This particular fictitious brief was a university assignment in which I had to design an information box for the VIP guests of the Royal Opera House (ROH), introducing them to Kabuki, the art of Japanese theatre.
I chose to create my illustrations digitally in Photoshop and kept a red colour scheme overall, to complement the colours of the ROH as well as to complement the colours of the Japanese flag.
The box design has a lid which once lifted, revealed a miniature Kabuki theatre stage and also a pull out drawer containing the information booklet as seen in the image below.

The stage was designed to be interactive via the Aurasma app, which guests could use to reveal augmented reality information snippets if held over the trigger images on the stage.
